In any real emergency, call 112 first.
Raksha AI is your safety companion — it assists and speeds up help, but it never replaces emergency services.
⚡ 60-second setup (do this once)
- Install: open the app in Chrome → menu (⋮) → Add to Home Screen.
- Allow permissions when asked: Location, Microphone, Notifications, Camera. Choose “Allow all the time” for location on the Android app.
- Add your circle: More → Trusted Circle → add 2–3 people (or Import from phone contacts). Nothing works without this.
- Run diagnostics: Settings → 🩺 Run full diagnostics → aim for 100%.
- Practice once: Quick Tools → SOS Practice Drill.
🚨 How to trigger SOS (6 ways)
- Hold the red SOS button (SOS tab) for 1.5 seconds.
- Floating SOS bubble — the red circle on every screen; hold it.
- Shake your phone hard 3 times (enable in Quick Tools).
- Say your secret phrase or “help me” / “bachao” (enable Voice Guardian).
- Tap the Guardian orb 5 times fast on the Home screen.
- Silent SOS: hold the clock (top-right) 3 seconds — nothing shows on screen, but recording starts and family/volunteers are alerted.
What happens: a 15-second check-in appears → if you don’t respond, the app records audio, locks your GPS, messages your circle (and Telegram if set up), and offers a one-tap call to your contact or 112.
💡 Turn on “Require PIN to stop emergency” (Settings) so an attacker can’t cancel your SOS.
🛰️ Family Live — see each other in real time
- Go to More → Trusted Circle → Family Live.
- Pick a long, private family code (e.g.
sharma-tigers-9481) and enter your name.
- Turn on “Go live with my family.”
- Share the code — family members enter the same code and go live too.
No app? No problem. Send relatives the tracker link — it opens in any browser:
…/track.html?fam=YOURCODE
💡 For alerts that reach phones even when apps are closed, set up Telegram Alerts (instructions in the Circle tab — 5 minutes, free).
🚶♀️ Before you walk or travel
- Walk With Me (Home) — keep your thumb on the button; release it and don’t return → help is called.
- AI Companion Call — a voice that talks with you and listens for “help me”.
- Trip Mode — set a destination (or tap a saved zone like → Home); the Guardian watches your route and checks on you if it deviates.
- Cab Logger — log the plate before boarding; instantly shared with family.
- Safety Timer — “I should be safe in 30 min”; forget to tap safe → it escalates.
- 🌙 Night Shield — one switch arms fall + scream + crash detection.
🔐 Safe Space (for anyone facing abuse)
A hidden, encrypted vault for evidence:
- Set a Safe Space PIN (Settings). This encrypts everything with AES-256.
- Save photos, voice notes, and dated incident notes.
- Export a court-ready PDF (with photos) for a lawyer or police.
- Quick Exit instantly disguises the app as a calculator (type your PIN +
= to return).
- Set a Duress PIN — if forced to open the vault, it shows an empty decoy.
⚠️ If you forget your PIN, vault items cannot be recovered — that’s real security. In immediate danger: 112. Women helpline: 181 / 1091.
🕵️ Scam Shield
Paste any suspicious SMS/WhatsApp message (or use 📋 Paste, or share it to Raksha from another app) → it checks 28 Indian fraud patterns on your phone. If you’ve lost money, call 1930 within 24 hours.
🧠 Guardian Brain & Assistant
Brain shows a live threat meter and an honest log of why it thinks what it thinks — and learns your normal places/hours on-device. Assistant answers plain questions (“someone is following me”, “I got a KYC message”) with exact steps and one-tap actions. Works offline.
❓ Troubleshooting
- Old version showing: close the app fully and reopen twice.
- GPS stuck on “waiting”: allow Location in site settings; stand near a window.
- Family member not appearing: same exact code on both; app must be open (web) — the Android app works in the background.
- Android kills it overnight: Settings → Apps → Raksha AI → Battery → Unrestricted (+ Autostart on Xiaomi/Oppo/Vivo).
- Voice features silent: use Chrome on Android; iPhone support is limited.
